Skin Concerns

A comprehensive starting point for any skin concern

A general skin consultation in Richmond is a broad, in-person assessment for any skin concern. It is the right place to start when you are unsure what you need or want a full picture of your skin.

The concern

Understanding this concern

Not everyone arrives with a specific concern in mind. Many people simply feel their skin could be better and want an experienced set of eyes to help them make sense of it. A general skin consultation is designed exactly for that: a comprehensive review across hydration, texture, tone, firmness and overall health.

Because it is broad, this appointment is also a useful triage point. If a more focused concern emerges during the assessment, Jolene can explain which area is most relevant and how a more specific review might follow, so you are pointed in a sensible direction from the outset.

What people often notice

  • You want a full assessment rather than focusing on one feature
  • You are unsure what is behind the changes you have noticed
  • You would like an informed second opinion before deciding anything
  • You are new to skin consultations and want to understand your options
In the consultation

  • What you would like to understand or achieve from the appointment
During your visit

What happens during this consultation

This is an approximately 45-minute in-person appointment at our Richmond clinic on Bridge Road, led by Jolene, a cosmetic nurse. She carries out a comprehensive review of your skin, listens to your concerns, and explains what she observes in clear terms.

You will leave with a considered overview of your skin and personalised recommendations for what may be appropriate, including whether a more focused consultation could help. There is no pressure to proceed with anything on the day.

Risks and limitations. A general assessment is a starting point, and options, risks and results differ between individuals. Some concerns are best supported with skincare or lifestyle changes, some may be better addressed another way or through a more specific review, and some may need no intervention at all. Any recommendation depends on an individual assessment, and no outcome can be promised beforehand.

What to bring or share

  • A list of the skincare products you currently use
  • Details of any medications, supplements or skin conditions
  • Any questions or concerns, however broad, you would like Jolene to review

Frequently asked questions

Should I book a general skin consultation or a specific one?

If you are unsure what you need, a general consultation is the ideal starting point. Jolene can assess your skin broadly and suggest a more focused review only if it would genuinely help.

What does the assessment cover?

It is a comprehensive review across hydration, texture, tone, firmness and overall skin health, alongside your routine and lifestyle. Jolene explains what she observes and what may be appropriate for you.

Can this lead to a more specific consultation?

Yes. If a particular concern stands out, Jolene will explain which area is most relevant and how a more focused consultation could follow. There is no obligation to book anything further.

How long is the appointment and how do I secure it?

The consultation runs for about 45 minutes in Richmond and is held with a $30 booking deposit. There is no pressure to proceed, and you can take time to consider your options.

The information on this page is general in nature and is not medical advice, a diagnosis, or a recommendation for any specific treatment or product. Any procedure carries risks. Whether any option is appropriate for you, and what those options and risks are, can only be determined during an in-person consultation.
